Searching for a Senior Division Order Analyst

Position Description:

Under direct supervision revises working interests and royalty interests based on deeds, assignments, transfers and decrees furnished by lessors or working interest owners. Determines the division of proceeds from the sale of oil and gas produced from wells in which the company has an interest. Responds to inquiries by landowners regarding division of interests and revenue matters.

Position Responsibilities:

    • Assist all revenue interest owners and Lessors in various matters and responds to their inquiries.  Analyzes documentation of ownership changes of interest, prepares and issues transfer division orders when needed, and updates the Land Division Order and/or revenue records.
    • Assists in preparing and processing Transfer Orders and Division Orders and in satisfying requirements and preparing and obtaining curative documents related to Division Order Title Opinions.
    • Assists in Acquisition and Divestiture activities as required to and in preparing and
    • Assists Senior Division Order Analyst, supervisor and other land management with special projects when needed.
    • Prepares information to update lease records and DOI’s ensuring timely reporting to accounting functions.
    • Works closely with Lease Records, Landmen and senior land department staff to obtain support documentation and review title.
    • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.

Position Requirements:

    • Understanding of standard oil and gas leases, conveyance documents and assignments. 
    • Good analytical and problem solving abilities. 
    • Ability to research information. 
    • Effective written and oral communication skills. 
    • Strong attention to detail; ability to perform duties with a high level of accuracy. 
    • Computer skills; word processing and spreadsheet software capabilities. 
    • Work well under pressure, meeting deadlines consistently. 
    • Ability to work in a team environment.
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
    • Strong math skills.
    • Up to one year of Oil and Gas experience in land administration/division orders or a minimum of 2 years experience in real estate or related environment.
    • High School Diploma

Oil and Gas Client needs an HR Generalist/ Compensation Specialist

Our North Dallas oil and gas client is looking for an HR Generalist with a strong background in compensation and recruiting

Requirements include:

    • MUST have a minimum of 4 years of HR experience; no more than 7 years total professional experience.  Ideal candidate will have 5-7 years in the HR arena
    • Must have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in HR
    • PHR/SPHR is a plus or a desire to obtain their certifications within the next year
    • Proven project management skills in both leading efforts and being a team member
    • Must have extensive experience handling employee compensation programs
    • Background setting up employee pay scales and compensation ranges
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Strong background in creating job descriptions and working with managers to hire qualified individuals
    • Demonstrate leadership skills and ability to recruit
    • Strong background in recruiting and compensation is a MUST

Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Implement company-wide compensation program as well as create/distribute job descriptions company-wide.

Primary Objective:
 
Conduct reservoir engineering field studies, create asset development budgets and plans, and complete economic appraisals for exploration and production activities.  Specifically looking for experience in East Texas and North Louisiana unconventional gas but will consider experience in other unconventional gas plays. 
 
Main Responsibilities/Job Duties:
       
Assess reserves and evaluate economics to support drilling and completion activities, development plans, exploration prospects, workovers, and exploitation projects      
Provide technical support for division operations to assist in reservoir management activities such as improving production, reducing costs and improving margins.       
Complete reservoir engineering analysis including reserves calculations from classical reservoir engineering techniques such as material balance, decline curves, and formation evaluation.         
Keep informed of technical advances and apply these as appropriate to improve processes, operations, and margins     
Support regulatory compliance, hearing support, and obtain permits as needed.   
Work with others to promote teamwork, communication, and sharing of ideas to improve work performance in the E&P group.
 

Education:  
       
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from four-year college or university       

Professional Engineering Registration is not required, but is recommended

Experience and competencies:
       
Specialty Technical Software experience with Nodal analysis, Pressure Transient and or Simulation a plus.      

10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

High level of Proficiency with Aries for Windows, Excel, and the standard

Office Product Suite required. Knowledge of other products such as Geographix, Petra a plus         
Good writing and oral communication skills.         

 
Fundamental Skills - Understanding of petroleum reservoir rocks, fluids, flow mechanisms, economics, equipment, data retrieval and analysis, measurement techniques, computer use, and ability to assign quantities to unknown variables is required.

Role Purpose

Main Responsibilities

        
Primary ownership of the regional Access database.  Working with the Analysts in accessing new and revised data. 
        
Researching information required via the Internet or other sources. Inputting, updating and checking the content of technical/quantitative information held in the database.
        
Creating and maintaining data links to the ArcGIS mapping interface.  Implementing edits to and maintaining the currency of the regional maps.
        
Checking the integrity of the regional database on a regular basis and working with the analysts to resolve issues identified
        
Running extracts from the databases to supply data for analytical tasks and to check consistency and integrity of information held
        
Assisting the team with other work as required 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience


The successful candidate will have two years experience of working in a data-related role and possess excellent IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Access (the ability to extract information) and Microsoft Excel.  Knowledge of the oil and gas industry is not essential, but would be an advantage.  Essential skills for this role are; team working and communication skills, along with diligence in data capture/ maintenance, accuracy of input and an eye for detail.

  • Analyze Business Content data Sources, activate and customize if necessary, establish web service data sources (D&B, Global View), and gain in-depth understanding of client's financial business processes, gather data requirements, and create appropriate BI Content.
  • Create technical specifications for ABAP development to create data source extractors and maintain BEX queries & ad-hoc queries via BEX web.
  • Create or debug Crystal Reports.
  • Monitor daily extract of BI data via InfoSpokes into SQL databases for non-SAP systems such as Zytax.
  • Participate in annual and rolling budgeting processes in SEM-BPS, including development of planning areas, planning levels, planning packages, planning functions, and planning folders and in setting development standards and guidelines for BI.
  • Copy budget (BPS) objects and data for the next years planning process.
 
EXPERIENCE:
  • 3 years of job related experience is required.  
  • Depending on assignment: 2 years of SAP (version 4.6c or higher) implementation/ support experience with FI/CO or 3 years of SAP BW design and development experience is required. 
  • Total of 5 years of experience required.  SAP IS-OIL and Oil and Gas industry experience is preferred (Midstream/Pipeline & Downstream/Refining areas). 
EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:  
A minimum of Bachelor of Science Degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
