Description:

Responsible for managing the Technical Sales and initiating business development opportunities. Responsible for increased sales effort with Engineering companies targeting large turn-key fabrication projects. New customer development along with some established customers.

Responsible for the following:

- Learn company capabilities and processes

- Develop Sales and Marketing Strategy for Engineering Companies

- Develop Plans/Ideas for structure of Sales Division

- Increased sales effort with some established customers

- New market/customer development

- Create base/core customers from established and new customers.

- Meet sales objectives set by management – actual sales; number of quotes brought in, data collection on customers.

- Part of sales team to plan for future sales efforts – 1, 3, and 5 year plans

Requirements:

- Required: B.A. or B.S. in one of these fields: Sales Management/Marketing, Industrial Distribution or Engineering

- 10+ years in Corporate Sales – Industrial preferred

- MS Windows, MS Office – Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Front Page, Adobe PageMaker, Microsoft Publisher

Our Dallas, TX client is currently seeking a demand generation specialist for their American headquarters. The Demand Generation Specialist will develop demand/lead generation programs to generate a steady pipeline of qualified leads through online and offline marketing initiatives. This position reports to the head of marketing for the region.

Primary Responsibilities:

 
  • Develop, manage and drive demand generation activities

  • Will hunt and farm with all accounts and develop and maintain relationships with the key decision makers that purchase our products and services.
  • Conduct daily calls to assigned customer base inquiring into all service needs. Each customer is to be contacted a minimum of every 90 days.
  • Accountable for meeting and/or exceeding assigned sales objective and monthly gross profit quotas, maintaining existing and building new gross profit within named account base.
  • Prepare and execute Sales Quotes, Sales Orders and Purchase Orders as needed or work with Logistics Coordinator on such transactions.
  • Provide key customer feedback to VP Sales.
  • Input customer information and requirements into customer contact information record to facilitate future buy and sell opportunities
  • Gather and input all necessary customer information as it relates to creating a new customer/vendor, applying for credit terms, payment, shipping, etc.
  • Initiate the process to provide required information to the sales team members to facilitate the sale of the equipment, or to identify accounts where equipment could be sold
  • Provide assistance in identifying the proper valuation of equipment identified for a buy opportunity.
  •  
  • Actively pursue identifying new purchase opportunities of qualified inventory.
  • Knowledge of the industry is required
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent level of experience, preferably in business, marketing or communications.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of sales or customer service related experience
  • A depth of expertise in healthcare IT, combined with a strong telecom background
  • Customer selling skills – must be able to inquire about customers needs while identifying any service opportunities, overcome objections and close sales opportunities.;
  • Ability to learn technical concepts is critical
  • Manage sales funnel to analyze and manage pipeline activity and monitor gross profit activity against assigned sales quotas.
  • Must be self motivated and self disciplined and provide prompt follow-up to all customer inquiries.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
