Our North Dallas client is looking for a Benefits Administrator to join their fast-paced team on a temp to hire basis

Job Description:
       
  • Coordinates the administration of corporate benefit programs such as medical and dental insurance, group life insurance, disability, 401 (k), etc. 
           
  • Orients and processes new employees and works hand in hand with the Benefits Manager to organize this process 
           
  • Monitors satisfactory completion of mandatory employment requirements such as I-9’s and pre-employment drug screens. 
           
  • Consult with and advises employees on eligibility, coverage and other matters related to benefits. 
           
  • Administers FMLA for eligible employees. 
           
  • Maintains benefits records and documents. 
           
  • Processes exiting employees and providers required information to the employee regarding benefits, such as COBRA, HIPAA, 401 (k) notices, etc. 
           
  • Reconciles and processes insurance invoices for payment. 
           
  • Processes all employee status changes. 
Position Requirements:
       
  • 3-5 years HR experience preferred; benefits experience in FMLA, COBRA, and Insurance Administration preferred. 
           
  • Strong interpersonal skills required. 
           
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows. 
           
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player and operate effectively in an autonomous environment. 
           
  • Experience in ADP and Benefits Harbor is preferred

Primary responsibilities and requirements:
  • Processing of incoming e-mails (Outlook) and other documents in order to prioritize deadlines, meetings and other events where participation of the Claims Manager is necessary.                     
  • Must be able to multi-task in an occasionally fast paced environment.
  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with attorneys, or other insurance executives.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office products is necessary. 
  • Previous exposure to ImageRight or other document management related software in a paperless society helpful.
  • Must be a self starter and be able to work with little or no supervision.
  • Experience in the commercial auto claims or litigation related fields are helpful, but not necessary.
  • Excellent opportunity for training in handling commercial auto claims with potential to expand the position beyond administrative duties.

This person will report directly to the VP of Operations. 
 
This position will act as a liaison between company service technicians and programmers by troubleshooting errors in the company in-house system and assisting in data transfer. 
 
This position will also serve as the go-between for various departments, all the while ensuring the in-house system is running smoothly and counseling team members as to how to address issues with the in-house database and system.


Qualifications:

Our Austin, TX client is looking for a Senior Accountant for their Insurance company.  This position is responsible for the preparation of financial statements and other financial reports.   Maintenance of general ledger with proper documentation that will support all major balances and annual audit.  Should learn how to perform all other routine tasks to ensure completion during absences of other staff members.  This is a contract to possible hire opportunity.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparation of board packages and management reports
  • Financial reporting includes monthly, weekly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements.  
  • Assist in the preparation of quarter and annual filings to state regulators.
  • Review work of accounting staff
  • Participate in monthly accounting closes and analyses as necessary
  • Prepare any other analyses requested by CFO or President
  • Develop and document departmental policies and procedures
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, CPA helpful but not required
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience including financial reporting and analysis.
  • Comfortable in a startup environment that could require basic accounting work during crunch periods.  
  • Experience in property and casualty insurance accounting helpful
  • Experience with Macs helpful but not required
  • Knowledge of  ACC  PAC Accounting Software, including its report writing features desirable, plus excellent skills with  Microsoft office products, particularly Excel
