Its a great opportunity!!Our Brookshire, TX client is seeking a temp to possible hire Human Resources Coordinator. This client offers an excellent benefits package as well as a growing environment.
Summary:
Coordinates various human resource programs, such as: recruiting, training, document retention and other programs or special projects. Assists in development and implementation of human resource policies, procedures and programs. Provides advice, assistance, and follow- up on inquiries to company policies, procedure, and documentation. Coordinates the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries. Responsible for HRIS, employee files and records.
Essential Functions:
- Recruiting functions: Assists with recruiting process and selection of coworkers; Develops and coordinates On-Boarding Program for new hires and transferees; Coordinate temporary labor and costs; Assists with intern program. Works toward the AA plans recruiting goals and diversity initiative. (30% of time)
- Administers and develops HRIS. Enters, retrieves data and generates required and requested reports from HRIS; ensures that data in system and generated reports are accurate and timely. Responsible for EEO, Vet filing, SEED and monthly reports.
(25% of time)
- Training and Organizational Development functions: Maintain all training records. Manage and track training costs and reporting requirements; recommend, develop and schedule training and development courses, as requested. (15% of time)
- Answer inquiries (via telephone, email, or in person) ascertains nature of business and if necessary, directs to appropriate person in department. (10 % of time)
- Verifies personnel requisitions, rate changes, transfers, new hire paperwork, terminations, etc. for accuracy and timeliness; checks for all necessary documentation and signatures. Provides follow up when necessary to ensure required documentation is complete. Assists with internal communications. Responsible for Joiner/ Leaver/ Transfer. (5% of time)
- Maintains personnel records, files, and filing. Filing complete and up to date every week. (5% of time)
- Coordinates and notifies all supervisors on annual performance reviews and provides necessary information. (5% of time)
Assembles, distributes and retrieves new hire packets in a timely fashion; Conducts new hire orientations, e-verify process, and ensures required paperwork is complete to meet HR and legal requirements. Administers new hires to safety teams and sends new hire greeting. Adds hires and temp’s to safety rosters. (5% of time)
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Orders office supplies and maintains small inventory of necessary items while keep cost at minimum.
- Schedules appointments and arranges travel schedule and reservations for HR team.
- Coordinates interview candidate schedules, travel, and hotel arrangements as needed.
- Composes, types and copies correspondence and mailings; processes and tracks invoices, charges invoices to appropriate cost center and accounts.
- Makes or assists with presentations explaining purpose and goal of human resources policies. Participates in special committees or task force meetings, as needed.
- Supports, cooperate with, and participate in company- wide EHS Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures. Supports and cooperates in company-wide Quality Management effort.
- Performs other duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and training in human resources field required.
- Minimum of 2 year experience in an HR department required.
- General knowledge of wage and hour laws, AA and other state and federal labor laws.
- Excellent planning and organization skills, oral and written communication and editing skills, and positive interpersonal skills required.
- Ability to work cooperatively with co workers at all levels of organization.
- Good analytical skills and ability to work independently.
- Ability to handle confidential matters with integrity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
- HR Perspective, ADP, and ReportSmith experience is STRONGLY preferred.
