Our North Dallas client is looking for a Benefits Administrator to join their fast-paced team on a temp to hire basis

Job Description:
       
  • Coordinates the administration of corporate benefit programs such as medical and dental insurance, group life insurance, disability, 401 (k), etc. 
           
  • Orients and processes new employees and works hand in hand with the Benefits Manager to organize this process 
           
  • Monitors satisfactory completion of mandatory employment requirements such as I-9’s and pre-employment drug screens. 
           
  • Consult with and advises employees on eligibility, coverage and other matters related to benefits. 
           
  • Administers FMLA for eligible employees. 
           
  • Maintains benefits records and documents. 
           
  • Processes exiting employees and providers required information to the employee regarding benefits, such as COBRA, HIPAA, 401 (k) notices, etc. 
           
  • Reconciles and processes insurance invoices for payment. 
           
  • Processes all employee status changes. 
Position Requirements:
       
  • 3-5 years HR experience preferred; benefits experience in FMLA, COBRA, and Insurance Administration preferred. 
           
  • Strong interpersonal skills required. 
           
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows. 
           
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player and operate effectively in an autonomous environment. 
           
  • Experience in ADP and Benefits Harbor is preferred

Summary:

Assists Benefits Manager with administration of the benefits programs including insurance plans, 401K retirement plan and other components of the total benefits package. Uses computer applications to administer benefit programs in a timely, well organized and accurate manner, and provides exemplary customer service on the telephone, in writing and face-to-face.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Act as a primary contact for current and former associate questions regarding benefits plans.  Ensure enrollments and payroll deductions are reflected benefits plans. 
  • Ensure enrollments and payroll deductions are reflected correctly in the Oracle system. 
  • Resolve eligibility and claim issues for associates.
  • Provide administrative support for the Benefits Manager and Director, Compensation, Benefits & HRIS.
  • Preparer and present monthly New Associate Orientation, and provide one-on-one benefits orientation when needed.
  • Maintain benefit communication materials and supplies, and update when necessary.
  • Ensure all newly eligible associates are offered the opportunity to enroll in benefits in a timely manner.
  • Maintain benefit files and audit to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.
  • Act as intermediary between benefit vendors and associates to assist with resolving issues.
  • Partner with HRIS Analyst to ensure that the Oracle Benefits System is up to date and accurate.
    Assist with annual benefits open enrollment, including preparing communication materials, presenting training and updating information in the Oracle System.
Knowledge:
  • The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the following:
  • Basic knowledge of benefit plans, including medical, dental, life, disability, and 401K plan administration.
  • HRIS system functionally, preferably Oracle.
  • Familiarity with financial concepts.
  • Knowledge of COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, ADA HIPAA, and appropriate sections of the Internal
  • Revenue Code.
Skills:
  • The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Publisher.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Proven organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of benefits administration experience, or equivalent gained through a combination of education and work experience.
