Summary:
This position will assist in the analysis and administration of client’s 401(k) retirement plan and other components of the total benefits package. The Analyst will be accountable for 401(k) data integrity, including accuracy of data flow between Plan Record keeper, IT, Benefits, Payroll and Treasury. In addition, this position will interface with auditors for annual benefit audits, prepare 5500s and other government compliance requirements, and be responsible for initial development and ongoing production of monthly and quarterly statistical reports capturing benefit costs for client.
Duties and Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
§ Act as primary contact for current and former associate questions regarding 401(k) plan. Ensure enrollments and payroll deductions are reflected correctly in the Oracle system. Resolve eligibility, contribution and loan issues for associates.
§ Reconcile contribution data between Payroll, Treasury, IT and the Plan’s trustee and record keeper
§ Track compliance with electronic feed transmission schedule and ensure that 401(k) contributions are processed within legal time limits
§ Work with 401(k) record keeper and IT to resolve weekly and monthly error report issues
§ Partner with record keeper to develop monthly delinquent loan report; ensure that delinquent loans are appropriately handled according to legal requirements, including defaulting when required
§ Interface with auditors to provide information for annual audits of benefit plan.
§ Prepare schedule of annual benefit compliance activities and manage information flow between NCH, vendors and auditors to ensure the schedule is met
§ Maintain 401(k) communication materials and supplies, and update when necessary
§ Coordinate 401(K) training and education for newly eligible associates, and upon request for current employee groups
§ Develop report package to track monthly and year-to-date benefit costs and identify trends and variances
Requirements
Knowledge:
Thunderstanding of the followinge ideal candidate will have a solid :
§ Knowledge of 401(k) plan administration
§ HRIS system functionality, preferably Oracle
§ Familiarity with financial concepts
§ Knowledge of ERISA and appropriate sections of the Internal Revenue Code.
Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
§ Excellent customer service skills
§ Strong oral and written communication skills.
§ Strong computer ability in Excel, and proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Access
§ Superior analytical and mathematical skills
§ Proven organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects
§ Ability to maintain confidential information
Education & Experience:
§ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
§ 3 years of 401(k) plan administration experience
§ 3 years of accounting or analytical experience
