Geoscience Technician is needed in Houston, TX
Our Houston client, an international oil and gas company, is seeking a Geoscience Technician to join their Exploration group. This is a direct hire opportunity. APPLY HERE!
Job Duties:
Support geoscientists by managing seismic, well and interpretive data
Create accurate regional, semi-regional and prospect-scale maps using Petrosys, Seisworks and Geolog
Collaborate with IT staff, geoscientists and other technicians to maintain database integrity
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Geoscience, IT, or related field
- 5+ years experience as a Geoscience Technician
- Advanced knowledge of Petrosys and ArcGIS
- Some experience with Paradigm suite and Openworks
- Strong knowledge of database management processes
- Strong Unix skills
- Must be able to work well in a team environment
