Our Houston, TX client is seeking an Executive Assistant to assist a VP and a team of executives. This client offers an excellent benefits package as well as a great work life balance .
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Organize meetings, conferences, and manage supervisors¿ calendars, schedules, travel, and appointments.
- Use Microsoft Office to prepare letters, interoffice memos, and other correspondence.
- Provide phone, fax, copy and related help as needed.
- Provide SAP data input and AFE and PAF document management.
- Screen calls and take messages for supervisors.
- Sort and distribute mail for the department.
- Maintain an updated industry contact list.
- Organize and update spreadsheets and databases.
- Provide effective document management and maintenance of department files in both electronic and hardcopy format.
- Electronic document management includes scanning, imaging and storing of documents.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations, and back up all data on a regular basis.
- Communicate and provide information internally and externally to enable the Drilling & Completions group to complete their assignments quickly and effectively.
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification from a secretarial school or some college preferred.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry, and drilling in particular, preferred.
OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Strong PC skills with ability to learn new applications, such as Access, Adobe, SAP and Livelink.
- Must be a flexible and enthusiastic self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Requires exceptional skills in managing multiple demands, including prioritizing workload.
- Must also have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, strong communication skills (both oral and written), professional etiquette in dealing with co-workers and proven administrative skills.
- Knowledge of petroleum exploration processes and terminology, and general oil and gas production operations preferred.
- Previous experience of working with a drilling E&P operator or with a drilling contractor is highly advantageous.
