Our international manufacturing client is looking for a Controller to join its Dallas based high growth operation. Responsible for the performance and monitoring of financial/accounting activities to provide asset protection and maximum utilization.  This is a direct hire opportunity.

Primary Job Function
 

• Manage financial reporting and analysis in a timely fashion to present plant operating results. 
  
• Provide accurate and timely reports to aid management in the decision making process. 
  
• Serve as liaison between plant and Corporate concerning financial issues. 
  
• Review cost improvement projects to ensure plant changes are effective. 
  
• Provide financial advice to plant management to ensure cost/profit improvements. 
  
• Serve as key member of total company financial management group to provide consistent procedures/strategy and focus on future needs and direction. 
  
• Coordinate business plan activity with corporate financial objectives. 
  
• Establish financial controls to safeguard company assets and funds. 
• Initiate inventory control programs to assure accurate accountability. 
  
• Manage plant MIS responsibilities to include systems development. 
• Coordinate changes and activities with Corporate MIS and plant.
  
• Develop processes to review and improve on plant reporting procedures.
  
• Manage processes of payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
   
  Job Requirements
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. 
• 7-10 years related experience in manufacturing environment. 
• A CPA preferred. 
• Knowledge and experience in computer applications and complete understanding of accounting principles is required 
  
• A results-driven individual who has demonstrated ability working in a high performance manufacturing environment
  
• Proven experience in accounting/finance management
  
• Good attention to details.
  
• Able to manage multiple, complex tasks and deal easily with pressure on a day in and day out basis
  
• Must be able to motivate, communicate and drive continuous improvement
  
• Critical thinker with excellent analytical abilities
  
• Good written and oral communication skills.
  
• Solid planning and leadership skills
  
• High energy, demonstrates urgency
